ASI is honored to help further the work of your ministry through this website. In accordance with our netASI user agreement, please use this website for non-profit purposes only. For-profit use may result in the termination of the website.
A couple of tips to get you started: Your website has a lot of features that will help promote your ministry via the web, as well as receive donations. Features include:
1) Full e-commerce capability, including donations, and the ability to sell product that supports your non-profit ministry
2) A custom form builder that allows you to create forms that will be emailed to a list that you specify
3) A calendar that can update subscribers automatically on their cell phones, computers, or via email
4) Integration with Google Maps, to show your ministry location
5) Full media broadcasting capability, including audio and video podcast creation with just a couple of clicks.
6) Email list functionality that allows you to stay in touch constantly with your ministry supporters via email
7) Integration with Google Analytics, which will tell you how much traffic is on your site, and which pages they like best.
Once your site has been set up, you will receive a confirmation email telling you that your site has been built, and another email inviting you to set your password as a site administrator. Once you've set your password, you can login to your site "dashboard" and begin using your site. To begin customizing your new website, login at the bottom of the page. Once logged in, click “Dashboard” at the bottom of the page to get started.
We would recommend that you click on Settings > Extensions to verify that all the functionality you want is turned on. The next step would be to select the theme for how your site looks by clicking on Themes and Templates > Change Theme to select how your website looks. Then go to Website Pages and click on Home to delete this welcome message on your home page and re-enter your own ministry content.
You may want to have a custom theme created for your website. netAserve, an ASI member, provides these services for a fee, as well as support for managing your website. Visit their website at www.netaserve.com or call 301.584.3100 to subscribe to a customer support plan. ASI pays for your site software and hosting, but the support is up to you! There is a major netASI help website in process that will walk you through step-by-step how to accomplish certain tasks, and will shortly have training videos too. But it is not a bad idea to purchase a support contract in your first year to maximize your ministry exposure.
